Thanks yeah that's exactly how I feel. I have zero nostalgia for him. Never liked him. I appreciated what he did formally with his life and work. That was my entry point. I still only appreciate the music as an emotional transference of those formal ideas. I would never feel nostalgia for this, it's like a momentary reorientation to the way I think about other things. It doesn't even make me want to delve deeper into him or continue to follow. He made a beautiful blip on my radar here. And it'll arm me to engage with what comes next, that is likely not him.
