Seriously? You expect me to talk about movies? It’s all about Knicks right now.
I saw Obsession, it was fun. Saw Passenger, it would’ve made a great short, or if they cared to do anything with the story story it could’ve been something. But it just wasted lots of time in between set piece scenes. I’d rather them just have eliminated the story and made it a reel of set pieces surrounded by mystique. It’s so ugly seeing the Star Wars content movie being marketed everywhere, just weird dystopian dark ages stuff. Grateful He-Man came out same time so we can pool all this dark ages AI CGI projector on a wall movies together and get rid of em quick. I can’t wait for Scary Movie, it looks excellent and hilarious. Psyched for Backrooms. I want to see Sheep Detectives. I don’t really have anything to say about Cannes. It feels like an in-between year. Next year will be big. This year was kinda the transition year when people stopped believing in the BS movies, but we still didn’t get the full development machine behind good stuff. I think Ruben Ostlund really messed up by not getting his movie ready, because he’d have won Palme D’Or this year, but he won’t next year.
I don’t know. I really don’t feel like writing about movies.

Knicks in 4!!!
Also Steve Novak sucks. Get him outta there. He represents a dark age for Knicks that I have blotted out of my memory already. He was talking last night about how game one was the loudest he’s heard MSG since Linsanity. What an idiot. Who cares about Linsanity? From a Knicks perspective that it. Totally cool as a cultural artifact. It was a major cultural moment. Just not for Knicks. But Steve Novak seems to have some desire to rewrite history to make his period with the Knicks more significant. He’s also just a weirdo, Alan Hahn had to reorient him in his Larry Johnson interview, when he asked LJ to strategize for the Cavs. Why??? This isn’t Reggie Miller, this isn’t even agnostic national broadcast. Novak was saying this on the YES Knicks local broadcast, exclusively for Knicks fans, standing in the pregame party outside MSG on 33rd n 7th, talking to a former Knick. This is supposed to be fully biased ra-ra fun with some intelligent basketball talk. But there is no equal time needed on Knicks owned YES network. What is Steve Novak doing??? LJ was rightfully uncomfortable. FOH Steve Novak.
